Job Summary
Direct daily operations of the affordable housing property, including resident relations, leasing, collections, maintenance, and budgeting. Manage personnel training, ensure compliance with HUD and IRS guidelines, and oversee capital improvements while meeting financial objectives. Collaborate on marketing strategies, coordinate third-party listings, and prepare annual budgets with ongoing cost monitoring. Support the Investment Manager and perform assigned duties to maintain safety policies and program adherence.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of property management experience
- Minimum of 2 years of HUD Multifamily Section 8 and/or Low-Income Housing Tax Credit experience
- Minimum of 2 years managing 55 or more units
- Knowledge of Yardi or similar housing software
- Ability to exercise quick and accurate judgment and maintain confidentiality
- Effective conflict resolution and customer service skills
- Ability to set priorities and multi-task with a strong attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Experience successfully managing more than one community
- Able to work well under pressure, is self-motivated, self-directed, and able to work with/without direct supervision
- Experience in managing multifamily affordable property
- Experience with HUD and/or tax credit programs
- Yardi management software experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
