Job Summary
Originate residential mortgages to Low to Moderate Income and majority-minority communities, self-sourcing leads through referral partners, housing agencies, and local business leaders. Convert inquiries into applications, present personalized mortgage solutions, and manage the pipeline from origination through closing while completing required management reports. Coordinate home-buying training seminars for potential applicants and partner with non-profit and government agencies focused on affordable housing programs. Utilize internal reference tools to provide accurate loan information and consult with partners to ensure superior customer service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in the area of community and diversity mortgage loan origination
- Working knowledge of FHA, conventional and governmental lending guidelines
- Working knowledge of federal lending regulations
- Working knowledge of CRA, Multicultural and HUD income guidelines
- Competent computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Competent skills in organizational and time management
- Ability to multi-task
- Eligible to register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
