Job Summary
Reviews grant applications and verifies compliance with HUD-funded programs (CDBG, ESG, HOME, HOPWA); advises and negotiates with all parties to ensure understanding and compliance with program parameters; drafts legal grant agreements, MOUs, amendments, restricted-use agreements, promissory notes, and trust deed contracts; may assist with grant process, budget planning, and grantee evaluation; prepares reports for Mayor, City Council, and public; manages grant reimbursement and financial tracking while ensuring funds are expended per grant terms; conducts compliance monitoring and data reporting; coordinates policies with other city departments; typically works Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; hybrid work may be available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, or closely related field
- 2-4 years of related experience
- Education and experience may be substituted one-for-one
- Ability to perform compilation, analysis and preparation of professional written reports and technical statistical analyses and forecasts
- Knowledge of government regulations related to grant awards
- Demonstrated ability to use computer applications to track programs and grant status, and to prepare and write professional staff reports
- Ability to travel between work locations
