Job Summary
Community Development Advisor builds relationships in the local Hawaiian community to educate families on preplanning cemetery properties and services. Responsibilities include setting appointments, delivering preplanning and product presentations, providing guided tours of locations, completing contract paperwork, tracking sales activity via CRM, prospecting through cold calling, door knocking, mailers, seminars, and events, and coordinating with churches, veteran organizations, hospice, senior living communities, and other groups. The role requires bilingual communication, knowledge of cemetery and funeral industry regulations, and a focus on customer service and world-class support. First-year projected salary ranges from $75k to $175k+ with a local candidate focus and no relocation assistance. Training and ongoing professional development are emphasized, along with adherence to the NorthStar Memorial Group sales program.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Satisfactory driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Knowledge of current federal, state, and local regulations related to the cemetery and funeral industry
- Bilingual capability in Filipino (Tagalog or Ilocano), Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, or Korean
