Job Summary

Community Development Advisor responsible for educating families about pre-need cemetery and funeral planning, building trust within the community, and guiding families through personalized preplanning decisions for cemetery property, merchandise, services, and prearranged funeral or cremation plans. The role combines education, consulting, and relationship-building to schedule and conduct educational seminars, set appointments, present products, provide park tours, prospect via seminars and web leads, maintain CRM activity, and track performance metrics. Key duties include developing relationships with churches and community organizations, delivering world-class service with a proactive mindset, staying current on veteran and Social Security benefits, and participating in ongoing training with sales and regional leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver�s license and reliable transportation
  • A satisfactory driving record
  • Working knowledge (or willingness to quickly learn) federal, state, and local regulations related to the cemetery and funeral profession
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage your time independently and stay disciplined in daily prospecting
