Job Summary
Originate residential mortgages to Low to Moderate Income and majority-minority communities, self-sourcing leads from community organizations, housing agencies, and realtors. Convert inquiries into applications, present personalized solutions, and manage the pipeline from origination through closing while coordinating home-buying training seminars. Partner with non-profit and government agencies focused on affordable housing, utilizing internal reference tools to ensure accurate loan information. Promote home ownership in majority-minority census tracts and complete required management reports. This role requires 3-5 years of experience in community and diversity mortgage loan origination, working knowledge of FHA and CRA guidelines, and NMLS eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in the area of community and diversity mortgage loan origination
- Working knowledge of FHA, conventional and governmental lending guidelines
- Working knowledge of federal lending regulations
- Working knowledge of CRA, Multicultural and HUD income guidelines
- Competent computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Competent skills in organizational and time management
- Ability to multi-task
- Eligible to register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
