Job Summary

Conduct intake, risk assessment, stabilization response, safety planning, coaching, psychoeducation, caregiver support, advocacy, referrals, and crisis line support for clients. Apply a strengths-based approach to ensure ease of service navigation while working intentionally from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive perspective. Collaborate with the community and other services to connect individuals with longer-term mental health, employment, and housing resources. Available to work flexible hours to meet client needs, with reliable transportation required. Submit confidential applications by August 24, 2026, for this one-year contract at Starling Community Services.

Required Qualifications

  • A relevant degree in psychology, social work, related discipline, or equivalent education
  • A minimum of three to five years' experience in the children's mental health field
  • Able to apply a strengths-based approach in the holistic collection of information and ensure ease of service navigation for clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and desire to collaborate with the community and other services
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with community resources
  • Available to work flexible hours to meet client needs
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
