Job Summary
Supervise Community Connection and Safety Services Case Managers by developing internal monitoring, weekly supervision, and evaluation processes to ensure services meet agency, state, and federal guidelines. Uphold consistent communication between case managers and stakeholders, including medical, educational, and mental health providers. Ensure case managers conduct visits assessing child safety, permanency, and well-being while verifying adherence to policies. Provide direct case management for OCC referrals when needed and confirm understanding of impending danger plans. Collaborate with the Intact Case Management team on Safety Services referrals. Requires a Master's in social work, Illinois Child Welfare Employee License, and valid driver's license. Full-time, exempt role at $72,125 annually with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work or a closely related Human Services field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in working with children and/or families
- Illinois Child Welfare Employee License
- Trauma-informed: Must display a willingness to adopt trauma informed interventions, principles, and practices as well as commitment to ongoing development of their capacity for application of trauma informed care
- Realizes the prevalence of trauma among persons served by Caritas and the general population
- Recognizes how trauma affects everyone involved-including clients, their families, staff, and community; and impacts behaviors
- Responds to trauma by actively implementing the guiding principles of trauma informed care into their daily practice
- Resists re-traumatization of persons served and staff providing services, by creating safe, welcoming, and supportive environments
- Proficient Computer Skills In: Excel, Outlook, Word, Database Management Software
- Expert Computer Skills In: Excel, Outlook, Word, Database Management Software
- Access to reliable transportation to get to/from work
- Access to a reliable automobile
- Must provide proof of auto liability insurance (and continue to while working in this position)
