Community Center Director (7093)

Supervise and monitor the day-to-day operation of the Community Center, including hours, facility maintenance, security, program development, and recreational activities while ensuring compliance with The Salvation Army mission and policies. Plan, schedule, assign, and supervise personnel; train employees; conduct performance evaluations; and provide hiring and firing recommendations. Research, plan, develop, and implement recreational programs for all age groups based on community needs. Determine funding needs and develop fundraising activities to support programs such as canteens and dispenser machines. Schedule and facilitate activities including sporting events, craft classes, and field trips. Prepare and maintain up-to-date records and reports regarding center programs and statistics. Full-time 35-hour schedule with health, dental, and vision insurance benefits. Two-year college degree in Physical Education or Social Work with three years of progressive experience developing recreational programs and one year in a supervisory capacity.
