Job Summary
Conduct door-to-door canvassing in Omaha, Lincoln, and surrounding Nebraska communities to deliver campaign messages, collect voter survey data, and engage the public respectfully. Manage small field teams by checking in periodically, debriefing daily, ensuring material readiness, and assisting with training and administrative tasks. Participate in paid staff training, adhere to safety protocols, and maintain motivation to maximize outreach volume. Full-time and part-time shifts run weekdays and weekends from 11:45am to 8pm with bonuses for overtime, drivers, and referrals. Positions run through November 3, 2026, with opportunities for advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Must present original, and unexpired documents from the Lists of Acceptable Documents to complete the I-9 form verification
- Must be able to engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
- Must be able to deliver a compelling campaign message
- Must be able to collect complete survey answers from voters
- Must be willing and excited to speak with everyone
- Must be a hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
- Must be open to new challenges
- Must be interested in building their campaign skills
- Must be culturally competent
- Must be able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
- Must be able to check in with canvassers periodically throughout the day
- Must be able to debrief with canvassers at the end of the day
- Must be able to ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be successful
- Must be able to assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work
