Job Summary
Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner to deliver a compelling campaign message and collect complete survey answers from voters. Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills and follow the campaign's safety protocols. Team Leaders manage small groups of canvassers by checking in periodically throughout the day and debriefing at the end of the day, while ensuring each canvasser has all necessary materials and assisting with training and administrative work. Shifts run from 12:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. weekdays and weekends, with positions available full-time or part-time through November.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Must present original, unexpired documents from the Lists of Acceptable Documents to complete the I-9 form verification
- Must be available for shifts from 12:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. weekdays and weekends
- Must be willing and excited to speak with everyone
- Must be a hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
- Must be culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
- Must be able to deliver a compelling campaign message
- Must be able to collect complete survey answers from voters
- Must follow the campaign's safety protocols
- Must be able to check in with canvassers periodically throughout the day
- Must be able to debrief with canvassers at the end of the day
- Must be able to assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work
