Job Summary
The Community Assistant Branch Leader (ABL) at Canvas Credit Union in Denver leads branch teams to deliver high-quality member service, exceeds branch goals through transactions, loans, and cross-selling, and coaches staff in sales, service, and operations. The role requires supervision of daily branch functions, knowledge of lending processes and security procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ABL supports the Branch Leader in hiring, training, performance management, scheduling, and succession planning, while maintaining operational integrity and safety. Notary Public certification in Colorado and Medallion Signature Guarantee certification are required for branch duties. The position demands a high-volume, fast-paced environment with a flexible Monday–Saturday schedule and occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or equivalent work experience
- One to three years' financial or sales management experience
- Strong people leadership skills; able to build and foster teamwork; coach, train and develop Canvas team members
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to explain programs, loan terms, features, policies and benefits to members and business partners
- Demonstrated track record of success in sales and customer service
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Canvas financial products and services
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Multilingual capabilities a plus
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of insurance
