Community and Events Manager

Job Summary
Plan and run end-to-end events, from concept to follow-up, including Sting's flagship Demo Day and partner gatherings. Secure vendors, curate speakers, and manage office spaces, tech, and AV to create moments connecting founders, investors, and the ecosystem. Build and nurture the community by activating the 500+ alumni network and making every cohort founder feel supported. Keep the office running daily by ordering supplies, managing deliveries, and handling practical details like cleaning or maintenance. Use AI and modern tools to do more with less while maintaining high standards for craft and consistency.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in events, community, or program operations
- Strong relationship builder
- Service-minded
- Composed under pressure
- No task too big or small
- Detail-oriented
- Reliable
- Strong sense of taste
- Experience running events end-to-end, including large, complex events with hundreds of attendees
- Experience building engaged communities, online and offline
- Strong project management across multiple workstreams and tight deadlines
- Experience with event platforms (e.g. Luma, Confetti), online community platforms (e.g. Circle), CRMs (e.g. HubSpot), design tools (e.g. Canva), and video editing
- Daily use of AI tools to draft, organize, and move faster
- Well connected in the Swedish startup ecosystem
- A good understanding of startups and founders' needs
- Fluent in both Swedish and English
- Passion for startups, technology, and founders trying to change the world
- Ability to manage multiple events without losing the details
- A drive to push what events, community, and the office can be at Sting
- Thrives in a fast-paced, in-person, startup environment
- High standards for craft, taste, and consistency
- Curiosity and a drive to build and improve, including using AI to do more with less
- Flexibility for evening and occasional weekend events
