Job Summary
Develop and implement community enrichment programs, area meetings, and events to support the living-learning environment while participating in marketing and leasing efforts to meet weekly and monthly goals. Cover rotating office shifts during posted hours, including nights and weekends, providing tours, handling leasing responsibilities, and managing customer service. Perform on-call Community Ambassador duties after hours and on weekends, touring the property, handling lockouts, responding to noise complaints, and addressing emergency situations. Serve as a resource for residents regarding services, local colleges, and conflict resolution, while assisting with move-in and move-out periods. Commit an average of 20 hours per week to office hours, off-site activities, programming, and resident interaction. Move on-site no later than one month prior to fall semester move-in for training and building preparation.
Required Qualifications
- state leasing license or ability to obtain the required license(s) within the timeframe mandated by state law
- Proficient in MS Office applications and strong, demonstrated computer technology skills (including social media use)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present thoughts and ideas clearly
- Strong ability to plan and organize multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
- Must have completed a minimum of 12 undergraduate hours upon start date, with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5
- Must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 undergraduate hours or 6 graduate hours during the academic year (not including summers)
- Must be able to reside in an assigned staff apartment
- Must move on-site no later than one month prior to fall semester move-in day to participate in fall training and preparation of building opening
- Work Schedule: 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday, with extended hours and/or weekends being required as scheduled, or as needed to meet business needs
