Community Advocacy Manager

Job Summary
Develop and enforce policies for engaging community members, including pet pantry clients and neighbors, while leading the Family Support Services Center program at shelter locations. Direct oversight of Community Advocate staff, human services interns, and volunteers, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission to keep families together. Serve as the primary contact for established human service partners and review best practices for whole family support. Prepare annual department goals and monthly management reports, soliciting feedback on resources and emerging needs. Collaborate with the Director and data team to identify metrics driving program enhancement and recommend approaches utilizing social work practices.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited Social Work program
- LMSW
- A minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience
- interest in the human animal bond
- Experience in community outreach including door to door, community organizing, and engagement
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- intermediate computer skills
- Must be willing / able to get a chauffeur's license
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
- including intern supervision
- Experience providing social work program intern supervision
- Spanish language fluency
- Prior experience in a public speaking role
