Job Summary
Answer 111 calls as the frontline voice guiding and supporting individuals during crises involving violence, suicide, sexual assaults, and rescue situations. Navigate multiple IT systems while typing accurately and making sound decisions under pressure. Manage six days on shift followed by four days off in a 24/7, 365-day schedule with early morning, late afternoon, and evening starts. Complete nine weeks of training before earning the base salary of $72,112. Join New Zealand Police to help make the country the safest in the world.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills - excellent written and spoken English
- An aptitude to think on your feet and use your questioning and listening skills to make sound decisions under pressure
- An ability to follow highly-structured processes and multi task
- Tech savvy – you will be navigating several IT systems at once as well as typing quickly and accurately
- Full driver licence preferred
