Job Summary

Perform hands-on programming, set-up, maintenance, and upgrade of network and communications systems in support of mission requirements. Conduct installation, testing, and troubleshooting of mission-specific hardware, voice communications, computer systems, telephones, CCTV cameras, and access control systems, while managing fiber optic maintenance and cabling. Focus on switches, routers, firewalls, and other hardware appliances to ensure operational readiness for spacecraft processing and launch support. Requires TCP/IP, VoIP, and fiber optic knowledge; must obtain TS security clearance. Located in Titusville, Florida, supporting launches from Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Centers.

Required Qualifications

  • Must understand basic knowledge and concepts of TCP/IP network switching, routing, Voice over IP Telephone Systems, Copper CAT5 Ethernet Cabling/Patching, and multifunction printers and copiers
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the Communications, Networking, or IT field
  • Must be a United States citizen
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a TS level security clearance to retain employment

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Communications or related technical discipline
  • completion of a specialized course of study from a related vocational trade school
  • industry-specific certification
  • Additional knowledge of Fiber Optic Systems/Patching, IP Camera Systems, Wireless Networking (Wi-Fi), CCTV Video Distribution, GPS Timing Systems, and Radio Frequency Transmission Theory
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
