Job Summary
The Communications Systems Superintendent will oversee field operations related to communications and low-voltage infrastructure, ensuring work is completed safely and on schedule. Responsibilities include managing telecommunications infrastructure, coordinating work with engineers and subcontractors, leading safety programs, and maintaining quality standards. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree and at least 8 years of construction experience, including 3 years in heavy civil construction. Strong leadership skills and experience with telecom installations are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of experience in field construction
- Minimum 3 years of proven heavy civil construction experience, preferably on LRT or similar public infrastructure projects
- Experience with communications systems construction, including telecom infrastructure, fiber optics, network cabling, radio, and security systems
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (clean abstract preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Position part of Critical Infrastructure team
- Ability to safely navigate active construction sites
