Communications Systems Analyst Intern

Job Summary
Intern will build and maintain engineering models of the Telesat Lightspeed network using tools such as Ansys STK; conduct visibility and link budget analyses of RF and optical communication links for U.S. Government use-cases; support on-orbit demonstrations with Telesat LEO-3 and Lightspeed; complete STK Level 1 and 2 certification; contribute to systems engineering documents including requirements, architecture definitions, and stakeholder expectations; requires U.S. citizenship and pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering/technical field, with strong writing and communication skills, based in Arlington, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Be a U.S. Citizen
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a technical field, preferably with an emphasis in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, telecommunications, or networking
- Demonstrate understanding of fundamental communication system concepts and topics such as link budgets, antenna patterns, and optical communications
- Demonstrate strong technical writing and communication skills
- This internship is based in Arlington, VA office
