Job Summary
Communications Supervisor / Dispatcher role in EMS Communications Center overseeing 9-1-1 emergency response and interfacility transport, providing real-time supervision, handling EMS dispatch for ALS/BLS/wheelchair transports, leveraging Zoll RescueNet CAD, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting training and quality improvement. Requires supervisory capability, reliable attendance, and availability for all shifts; standard responsibilities include supervising operations during shifts, handling both emergency and non-emergency calls, coordinating ambulance resources, maintaining system status and hospital coordination, and ensuring compliance with policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- EMD Certification
- CPR Certification
- 911 Certification
- Telecommunicator Certification
- 2-3 years EMS Dispatch or Public Safety Communications experience
- Supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Experience with CAD systems
- Strong proficiency with computer systems (web-based applications, Microsoft Office) preferred
