Job Summary
The Communications Strategist will develop and execute external communication strategies to enhance Credit Union 1's reputation and visibility. Responsibilities include writing and publishing content for press releases, community engagement, social media, and email communications. The role emphasizes exceptional storytelling, adherence to brand messaging, and regulatory compliance. Candidates are expected to demonstrate creativity, possess strong organizational skills, and maintain a high level of professionalism. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of two years of communication or writing experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English or related field required.
- Minimum 2 years of professional communications or writing experience with proven excellence.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with ability to adapt content for diverse audiences and channels.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creativity, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
- High level of professionalism with ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with social media management tools preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and peers.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred knowledge of state and Federal laws, industry regulations, principles, and practices; and company policies that govern CU1’s products/services.
