Job Summary
Coordinate annual and multi-year marketing and communications plans to support SVDP's Development department goals. Manage publications including newsletters, annual reports, and fact sheets while overseeing vendor contracts, copywriting, and production timelines. Conduct interviews and capture media at client sites to build donor and volunteer profiles. Serve as a spokesperson, handle crisis communications, and cultivate relationships with local media to secure press coverage and event sponsorships. Lead social media networks, email marketing campaigns, and website maintenance including SEO and content updates. Uphold branding standards and ensure all materials align with grant language and organizational values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 years' experience with responsibility for marketing, public relations and communications
- Excellent written and communications skills
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Working experience or knowledge of communications as it relates to fundraising
- Professional experience with website management, SEO, social media, and e-communications
- A sensitivity to the needs and concerns of persons who are marginalized, with an understanding and respect for persons of all socio-economic, religious and ethnic backgrounds, along with a commitment to the mission and values of the organization, and an understanding of the issues of homelessness, hunger and poverty
- Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects up to 25 pounds
