Job Summary
Develop and execute communication plans that promote the credit union's mission, vision, and brand identity while collaborating with organizational leaders to support strategic initiatives and member growth objectives. Create compelling content and storytelling to strengthen brand awareness, draft press releases and media advisories for positive visibility, and cultivate relationships with community organizations and key stakeholders. Develop engaging internal communications for newsletters and ambassador recognition programs, maintain communication calendars and campaign plans, and coordinate projects with external vendors to ensure timely deliverables. Ensure all materials comply with regulatory requirements, brand standards, and internal policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, and/or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in communications, marketing, media relations, public relations, or a related field
- Experience in financial services, nonprofit organizations, or other member-focused industries
- Experience creating and executing communication campaigns across multiple channels
- Demonstrated success in content development, storytelling, media relations, and/or public engagement initiatives
- Strong understanding of digital communication platforms, analytics, and communication best practices
- Proficiency in content management systems, email marketing platforms, social media tools, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills with internal and external partners
- Effective organizational and project coordination skills
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and presentation abilities

- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
