Job Summary
Communications Specialist responsible for planning, developing, and managing internal and external communications for the Tribe, including managing the Tribe’s website, social media, and newsletters; serving as a liaison to committees and boards; supporting recruitment through job postings and employment-related communications; ensuring messaging aligns with Tribal policies and branding standards; requires strong writing and organizational skills, collaboration with leadership and external stakeholders, and compliance with confidentiality requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role in Oakhurst, CA, with no remote or hybrid work arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a closely related field
- OR four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience in communications, public relations, digital media, or a closely related field
- Professional experience creating and managing written communications or digital content
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Experience managing websites or social media platforms
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation and maintain suitability
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record in accordance with company policy
