Job Summary

Oversee daily agency marketing and promotion activities to increase community awareness, access, and engagement. Draft, coordinate, and distribute publications, manage social media accounts, and maintain the agency website while building relationships with local media. Facilitate and coordinate community outreach, presentations, and training sessions on domestic violence, stalking, and trauma-informed care. Act as the brand manager to ensure consistent messaging and track performance metrics across all initiatives. Represent the organization in community events and collaborate with stakeholders to secure funding opportunities. Requires availability for extended and non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, to support families and meet tight deadlines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in gender-based violence prevention or survivor advocacy
  • Must have and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and appropriate insurance coverage
  • Must maintain appropriate driving record
  • Must be available for extended and non-traditional work hours
  • Ability to tailor work hours to meet needs of families
  • Will require working some evening and weekend hours
  • Experience working with victims of domestic violence and child abuse or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Emotional maturity, stability, personal integrity, initiative and resourcefulness
  • Excellent public speaker, as well as written communicator
  • exhibits an open, ethical, and direct communication style
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal staff & external stakeholders with the utmost professionalism and within tight deadlines
  • Ability to make sensitive and insightful observations of individuals and to determine a course of intervention
  • Ability to address crisis situations which require prompt decision and action
  • Ability to perform job duties with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment
  • Computer skills with word processing, database management, e-mail, fax, windows application capabilities
  • Willingness to respect, understand, and promote the mission, values, and goals of the agency
  • Ability to incorporate Journey Center's Values into assigned duties
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities in a facility with multiple levels and without elevators
  • Must be able to provide services at various locations and provide client transportation using agency vehicles
  • Regular and predictable attendance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with victims of domestic violence and child abuse preferred
