Job Summary
Manage all inbound and outbound calls for the main switchboard, handling business inquiries, emergency codes, and patient status updates within electronic medical records. Coordinate disaster control procedures, monitor hospital equipment environmental conditions, and assist with patient registrations. Utilize the overhead paging system to communicate with hospital personnel and serve as a mentor to new associates during orientation. Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining critical thinking and independent time management. This part-time, second-shift role requires alternating weekends and holidays, with hours from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Candidates need a high school diploma and one year of customer service or healthcare experience; bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent (GED)
- 1 year of experience in Customer Service, Call Center, and/or Healthcare
- Must be able to use overhead paging system to communicate information and locate hospital personnel
- Critical thinking, sound judgment, and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to function independently and manage own time and work tasks
- Team oriented, open-minded, flexible, and willing to learn
- Excellent communication and outstanding customer service and listening skills
- Position requires alternating weekends and holidays
- Hours are 2:00PM-10:30PM
