Job Summary
Communications Operations Manager role focused on designing and operating enterprise communications systems at scale. Own end-to-end operations of platforms such as SharePoint, email communications, Viva Engage, surveys, and reporting tools. Design scalable content intake, approval, publishing, and distribution processes; build and maintain workflow automation using Power Automate and Microsoft 365 technologies; drive AI adoption across communications workflows with tools like Microsoft Copilot. Establish governance standards for content, publishing, formatting, and channel usage; manage publishing calendars, dependencies, and stakeholder coordination; develop reporting frameworks and actionable insights to improve engagement. Collaborate with communications leaders to translate messaging strategies into scalable execution plans and contribute to budget tracking, standardized templates, and repeatable processes for long-term scale and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in communications operations, marketing operations, or related program management roles
- Hands-on experience managing SharePoint, intranet environments, email communications, Viva Engage, and related publishing platforms for large-scale employee communications
- 3+ years in workflow automation and process design, using Power Automate or similar tools
- Experience owning communications or marketing operations systems including publishing workflows, governance, content lifecycle management, and scalable delivery processes
- Experience applying AI tools to improve content production, reporting, knowledge management, and workflows (e.g., Microsoft Copilot)
- Experience designing and implementing operational systems and workflows at scale
- Strong ability to operate independently while managing multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Experience developing reporting frameworks, performance metrics, and operational insights
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem including SharePoint, Viva Engage, Power Platform, and Copilot
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Prior Microsoft experience highly preferred
