Job Summary
Lead city-wide communications strategy, oversee branding and public engagement, manage municipal communications systems including website, email, social platforms, and telephone communications; coordinate third-party IT services for the municipality; support media relations, emergency communications, and internal communications; requires exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading, strong organizational and time-management skills, proficiency with MS Office, web content management, and digital engagement tools; ability to work with diverse stakeholders and guide internal/external initiatives to strengthen the City’s voice, reputation, and public trust.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a communications role, ideally within a municipal or government environment
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Public or Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
