Job Summary
Communications Manager I coordinates internal stakeholder support for marketing and communications, develops and implements communication plans, creates visual storytelling for executives, writes articles, and advises internal stakeholders on communications. Works with Intermountain Health MarCom on external marketing and communications including media relations and social media; builds constructive relationships enterprise-wide. Responsibilities include developing communications strategies based on audiences and market research, managing complex communications projects from concept to launch, measuring outcomes within budget, monitoring metrics to optimize strategies, and leading or guiding MarCom staff as assigned. Requires strong writing, storytelling, PowerPoint design, SharePoint, project management, and Salesforce experience; preferred: bachelor’s degree and healthcare communications experience; 5+ years management experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in communications, media relations, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven expertise in writing, editing, and creating impactful marketing and/or communication plans.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with communication metrics and analytics tools.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, English, business or a related college major involving communications skills and critical thinking.
- Education is verified.
