Communications Manager

Job Summary
Lead corporate and internal communication strategy by writing materials, creating templates, and managing the mass communication system to drive employee engagement. Coordinate influencer marketing visits, develop talking points, and train spokespersons for media appearances. Create communications plans for portfolio expansion, manage traditional media relations for resort brands, and ensure company websites are updated. Collaborate with leadership on town hall meetings to ensure consistent messaging. Serve as a crisis communications team member and support destination team initiatives. This role requires 7-10 years of experience in communications and hospitality, with a focus on promoting the hospitality and culinary portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of related experience
- Industry Experience - Communications, Public Relations, Community Relations, Hospitality/Tourism
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience
- 18 years of age or older
- Bachelor's degree
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Detail oriented with the ability to execute both quick turnaround projects and long-term strategic plans
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Google Applications, Sprout Social, and mass communication system(s)
- Ability to represent the company in various settings, events, etc.
- Experienced in working with key executives and operations team members
- Must be a strong writer and presenter
- Must be a team player and willing to learn and use social media channels to reach targeted audiences
- Must be an expert in all things Hershey, PA, Milton Hershey School, and HE&R history
