Job Summary
Lead the development of digital, editorial, and visual communications to advance the institute's mission across web, social media, email, and other channels. Design and produce digital and print materials (web content, infographics, reports, presentations, one-pagers, etc.), manage website content via a CMS, develop metrics-informed editorial strategies, write/edit/publish content, and oversee communications projects from start to finish. Coordinate contributors, manage timelines, maintain brand standards and accessibility guidelines, and participate in institute functions and events. Preferred experience in the public sector on content related to child and family well-being, basic web design/HTML/CSS/UX proficiency, and team leadership. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and may work remotely within Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in social sciences or communications, marketing, journalism, design, or related field
- at least 5 years of experience creating content across web, social media, and email channels
- strong graphic design skills
- proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud or comparable tools
- experience managing websites using a CMS
- applying accessibility best practices
- excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills
- ability to independently lead projects, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- excellent verbal and written communications skills
- attention to detail
- relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
