Job Summary
Strategic external communications lead for Claude's infrastructure and engineering domains, driving narratives for production-level performance (capacity, reliability) and translating complex technical topics for developers, customers, and press. Ownes external comms for Claude’s inference and reliability story across launches and updates; develop messaging frameworks for technical topics; lead cross-functional responses to technical issues; coach engineering and product leaders to be effective spokespeople; collaborate with product org on user impact and brand considerations; build credibility with developers and media; responsible for high-visibility external storytelling across multiple channels; role sits on Product Communications team and interfaces with engineering and product leadership. Minimum 8–12 years of experience in communications focused on infrastructure, engineering, or technical products; strong online presence with tech communities; ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible narratives; strong writing discipline and accuracy. Visa sponsorship is available; location is San Francisco with a hybrid policy requiring 25% in-office time.
