Job Summary
Lead the Public Affairs Team in delivering high-quality, impactful products to support the C-suite level government client's mission of scientific and technological innovation within the Intelligence Community. Create, execute, and maintain detailed strategic communication plans and campaigns while coordinating between government partners and external stakeholders. Establish new communication strategies to improve outreach and assess campaign impact across the IC, and support executive leaders with speeches, briefings, and communication surveys. Review and update weekly activity reports. This role requires five days a week on-site in Bethesda, MD, with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph
- Active and maintained TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, or a communications field
- Ten (10) or more years of experience leading and delivering strategic communications within the federal government and/or intelligence community
- Experience leading interdisciplinary teams within the intelligence community
- Experience supporting executive-level intelligence community customers
- 5-days a week on client site in Bethesda, MD
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal, people management, and customer management skills
- Superior organization, leadership, and functional communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks across multiple individuals and ensure quality and timely delivery of end products
- Strong writing and editing skills and attention to detail
- Experience engaging with Government, academia, and industry
- Knowledge of graphic design and multimedia fundamentals
- Knowledge of web content design, development, and management fundamentals
- Knowledge of video production and photography fundamentals
