Job Summary
Prepare daily news clippings, translate documents and press releases between Portuguese, English, and Spanish, and write stories, reports, and meeting minutes. Maintain and update UNDP Brazil's websites, create social media content and strategies, and produce video and audio projects including editing and archiving. Assist the Communications Team with event coverage, mailing list management, and handling press inquiries and public requests. Gather information on UNDP mandate themes and prepare analytical reports on website and social media performance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
- Final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent)
- University degree (as defined in the above requirements) with selection within one-year of graduation
- Course of study in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, Design, or related fields
- Computer skills
- Keen interest in the field of development and on UNDP's mandate areas
- Ability to work with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere
- Knowledge of photojournalism
- Portuguese as mother tongue
- Fluency in English
- Respect for the principles of the United Nations Charter and the UNDP Statement of Purpose
