Job Summary
Fall 2026 Communications Intern based in NPR's New York or Washington DC offices. Draft promotional content for NPR Extra social accounts and blogs, prepare executive briefing documents, monitor brand mentions and external channels, produce coverage reports using analytics tools, research incoming event and media opportunities, and assist in designing AI-driven workflows to improve Communications operations. Develop core Communications skills while contributing to NPR’s narrative and alignment with messaging pillars; collaborate with the Communications team and stakeholders across the organization. Candidate should be a strong writer capable of adapting content for different platforms, comfortable using analytics tools, and eager to explore AI-enabled workflows; ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines is valued.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current student in an accredited degree program or a recent graduate of no more than 12 months from the month of the start of the internship.
