Job Summary
Contract role to assist the Department of the Navy DON KPI/KMI Services as a Communications Information Management and Awareness (CIMA) specialist. Responsibilities include following established procedures to report COMSEC incidents to the Controlling Authority and other required bodies within policy timeframes, processing COMSEC Practices Dangerous to Security (PDS) and COMSEC Incident reports within 72 hours of receipt, entering incident data into the National COMSEC Incident Reporting System (NCIRS), collecting and tracking detailed chronological accounts of COMSEC incidents using local databases, assisting in DON annual trend analyses of COMSEC incidents, ensuring subordinate COMSEC entities receive final evaluations and additional information, reporting unauthorized offers or sales of government COMSEC materials to the NSA National COMSEC Incident Office, and maintaining an archive of all reported incidents for five years.
Required Qualifications
- Skilled verbal and written communication techniques to conduct meetings and prepare reports
- Thorough understanding of National COMSEC Policy as prescribed in CNSSI 4005 and 4006 and Department of the Navy COMSEC Policy as prescribed in Communications Material System (CMS) Series
- Ability to work independently
- Analytical processing skills
