Job Summary
Provide leadership and strategic direction on Communications & External Affairs (C&EA) for bp UAE, ensuring strategic government engagement, stakeholder positioning and reputational risk management. Build and maintain high-trust relationships with government partners, community leaders, quasi-government entities, embassies and trade associations to position bp as a partner of choice and support executive engagement through MoUs and G2G dialogues. Develop and deliver an integrated external communications strategy with representation at strategic platforms (e.g., ADIPEC, ENACT, Business Council engagements). Create bp- and partner-aligned messaging, executive briefing materials, and high-quality communications content in coordination with regional and central C&EA teams. Manage internal communications and staff engagement while prioritizing external affairs to support bp's growth in the UAE and international opportunities. Serve as crisis communications lead, acting as a spokesperson during crises, and advise leadership on local and international stakeholder dynamics. Support development of the strategic corporate partnerships portfolio, originating opportunities with MENA partners for cross-border expansion and global growth. Engage with UAE industries, sovereigns, and regional platforms to identify SCP-aligned opportunities and connect bp’s capabilities with regional ambitions. Liaise with BP MENA Growth teams to translate market intelligence into opportunity prioritization and risk shaping. Travel up to 10% is expected; role is hybrid office/remote. UAE national policy applies but diverse and inclusive workplace is emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant university degree (e.g. Masters) would be an advantage, or equivalent work experience.
