Communications - Communications Manager, Orlando Pride

Job Summary
Oversee all day-to-day media relations for the Orlando Pride, including matchday operations, training session availability, interview coordination, and post-match press coverage. Develop and execute strategic communications plans to drive media visibility across local, national, and international outlets while leading storyline development with internal and external partners. Produce key written materials such as press releases, advisories, and game notes, and spearhead media events like press conferences and media days. Monitor and report on Pride-specific media coverage to evaluate messaging impact and refine crisis response tactics. Represent the Communications department at Club and venue events, fostering relationships with media personnel, league teams, and broadcast partners. Travel as needed to support away matches and events.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in sports communications, media relations, or related fields
- Deep understanding of the women's soccer landscape, especially NWSL
- Self-starter who takes pride in their duties and is consistently looking to raise the standard of excellence
- Strong interpersonal skills, including a network of media contacts and/or the ability to foster relationships with Club media targets
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in AP style
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in non-traditional settings within a fast-paced team environment
- The ability to pass a background screening
- The ability to attain and maintain Safesport certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus, but not required
- Proficiency in digital tools and platforms; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
