Job Summary
Communications Associate in the Consumer & Community Bank supports event strategy, planning and execution for large-scale events within the Consumer Banking line, in partnership with the Consumer Banking lead. The role involves acting as the first point of engagement for Executive Communicators, managing event calendars and budgets, vendor negotiations, signage/order processing, onsite staff management (including speaker coordination and AV needs), registration and logistics for offsites or market visits, coordination with Meetings & Events teams, and development of detailed run-of-show documents. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of event management experience, excellent communication skills, the ability to liaise with senior leadership, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency with MS Office. The position may require occasional non-standard hours and travel ~25%. A Bachelor's degree in communications, hospitality or a related discipline is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years prior experience in event management related activities
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to liaise with senior leadership
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and effectively manage multiple priorities in a high-profile environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate clearly amongst a variety of personalities
- Proactive by nature and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Ability to cultivate relationships in the firm across various functions and lines of business
- Eager to learn, contribute and make an impact
- This position may require working outside of regular business hours and approximately 25% of travel on average
