Job Summary
Communications & Administrative Coordinator at Great River Children’s Museum responsible for supporting museum communications, marketing, fundraising, and administrative efforts. Responsibilities include writing, editing, and distributing newsletters and donor communications; creating, designing, and scheduling social media content; maintaining branding across print and digital materials; updating the website; coordinating print assets; capturing photos and video during events; assisting with storytelling and content development; supporting fundraising campaigns and donor relations; maintaining donor and membership databases; assisting with sponsorship fulfillment and donor recognition; and helping document processes for future use. Qualifications emphasize a bachelor’s degree (preferred) in related fields, experience with social media content creation, strong communication and organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in communications, nonprofit management, public relations, business administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered
- At least one year of experience creating graphics and content for social media platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience working with a variety of audiences and stakeholder groups
- Commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and relationship-building
- Passion for the mission of Great River Children’s Museum
- Fluency in languages other than English (preferred)
