Job Summary
Provide communication support and life skills training to individuals with deafblindness or developmental disabilities using methods like ASL, SEE, and LSQ. Advocate for clients' unique needs while assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and financial management. Implement behavioral strategies, track progress, and complete required medical documentation following healthcare professional guidelines. Work collaboratively with families, guardians, and colleagues to foster independence and achieve personal goals through a person-centered approach.

- Prepares and/or assists with meal preparation and healthy food choices according to specific dietary requirements
- Implements behavioural strategies outlined by behavioural professionals, including tracking and reporting
- Provides personal care as required (e.g. lifts and transfers, toileting, personal hygiene, etc.)
- Assists people supported with managing personal finances, budgeting, and maintaining up-to-date financial records
- Believes in the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic direction and provides the highest quality of service
