Job Summary
Communication Specialist III responsible for cost-effectively preparing regulatory-compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels for international customers via Managed Regulatory Services. Responsibilities include authoring SDS/Labels for US, EU, CA and other countries; sourcing from reference materials and reconciling discrepancies; evaluating toxicological, environmental, chemical, and physical properties to determine hazards; performing quality control and regulatory reviews of SDS/Labels; assisting in defining SDS/Labels content delivered under contract; and providing regulatory training, compliance reviews, procedure writing, and regulatory consultations. The role requires a science or chemical engineering degree, experience with multiple regulatory regimes, strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple contracts with deadlines, and effective communication and teamwork. Required Qualifications
- University degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, Environment, Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene) or Chemical Engineering
- Experience: 3 to 5 years or more in sciences, health/safety/environmental regulations and/or toxicology
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (REACH, GHS, OSHA, WHMIS, IATA, IMDG, ADR, TDG, DOT, EPA, TSCA, FDA, CEPA, CPSC) or other country regulations
- Experience in product stewardship or regulatory affairs
- Experience using EH&S software
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to work on multiple assignments; ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication; team-oriented culture
- Willingness to occasionally work extra hours to meet deliverables
