Job Summary
The Communications and Learning Officer will support Mercy Corps programs in Northeast Nigeria by documenting program implementation, capturing lessons learned, and producing communication products that demonstrate program impact. Responsibilities include document program activities, develop communication materials that highlight program achievements, and support knowledge-sharing across teams. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in communications or related roles. Strong writing and verbal skills in English and photography skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience in communications, documentation, or knowledge management within humanitarian or development programs
- Demonstrated experience writing program stories, reports, or communication materials
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience conducting interviews and gathering field-based documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Strong photography, videography, and design skills
- Fluency in Hausa
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong team coordination, listening, and consensus building skills
