Job Summary

Develop and implement communication plans aligned with organizational priorities, creating engaging content for websites, newsletters, reports, and social media. Manage digital platforms, draft press releases, and coordinate media coverage for advocacy campaigns and events. Ensure consistency in branding across all channels while documenting programme activities and developing success stories. Monitor performance using digital analytics to recommend improvements and support annual reporting. This role strengthens child protection systems across India by enhancing the visibility and credibility of ICP's programmes through strategic storytelling and stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Media Studies, Social Work, English, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in communications, media, public relations, content development, or digital communications
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong storytelling and content development abilities
  • Proficiency in social media management and digital communication tools
  • Experience with website content management systems (CMS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of digital analytics and communication performance measurement
  • Understanding of branding, media relations, and public engagement
  • Demonstration of professionalism, creativity, accountability, and alignment with the mission and values of India Child Protection

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with significant experience
  • Professional certification in Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, Graphic Design, or Content Marketing
  • Experience working in NGOs, development organizations, or social impact initiatives
  • Experience managing communication campaigns and social media platforms
  • Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Photography and basic videography skills
  • Strong commitment to child rights and safeguarding
  • Passion for social impact and advocacy
  • High level of creativity and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong visual and storytelling skills
