Job Summary
Communication Design and Production Specialist for USC Student Health and USC Campus Health responsible for producing social media visuals, audio-visual media, event collateral, print collateral and digital assets to communicate health services and campaigns. Oversees design and copy layouts for magazines, newsletters, brochures, posters and other marketing materials; reviews and approves visual content and brand representation; guides student workers producing AV content; coordinates with outside agencies and printers; collaborates with internal/external clients to execute design standards; maintains knowledge through workshops and professional materials; requires proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and print/digital production knowledge; aligns with health system branding and strategic communications.
Required Qualifications
- Req Associate’s Degree
- Req Degree in graphic design, visual communication or related field
- Req 3 years Experience in a graphic design role
- Req Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Req Must have advanced knowledge of print design including font management, inks and preparing files for print
- Req Knowledge of creating files for digital use including web colors and formats
- Req Skilled in page layout using InDesign
- Req Experience working with identity assets such as logos
- Req Must have thorough knowledge of printing process as well as good web practices for graphics
- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) – If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date (Required within LA City only)
