Job Summary
Commodity Specialist role focused on monitoring manufacturers’ commodity diversions and achieving drawdown targets across states. Responsibilities include accessing commodity tracking systems (K-12 and Processor Link), verifying distributor/Recipient Agency information, contacting agencies not within drawdown ranges, providing SEPDS and commodity forms, maintaining relationships with manufacturers, distributors, state education specialists, and RA contacts, delivering monthly drawdown recap reports, and consolidating orders for truckload shipments while meeting delivery timelines. Requires strong communication, analytical and organizational skills, high attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work with Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and able to operate in a role that involves substantial data handling and routine reporting.
