Job Summary
Commodity Manager (m/f/d) at Leggett & Platt, within the Global Category team focusing on the Automotive business. Lead global procurement strategies for components and/or raw materials to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance; collaborate with cross-functional leadership to align goals; develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers; execute contracts and manage supply risks; define and implement a Commodity Value Optimization strategy; support productivity initiatives across regions and ensure implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in financial or technical discipline, Master preferred
- Minimum of 3 years in a Category/commodity management position, or related experience, with global responsibilities
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment, Automotive experience preferred
- Strong negotiator skills with demonstrated experience in building cost models to understand should cost within specific markets, and how to apply the knowledge to achieve results
- Advanced skills in analytical Excel, Power Point, AI tools and Systems Database/Query Capability
- Excellent English verbal and written communication and training skills
- Strong business and financial acumen as well as product & process engineering curiosity
- Strong team building and talent growth and development skills
