Job Summary
Develop a Global Commodity Strategy and Business plan that meets the needs of Business Sectors, Business Units, and the Corporation, including supply base development, global infrastructure, and price management. Demonstrate expertise in assigned commodities and all aspects of supply chain management to exceed Jabil's goals and objectives. Negotiate supplier contracts, analyze market conditions, and implement strategies to assure supply and price competitiveness while maximizing purchase leverage for total cost of ownership. Build effective relationships with Business Unit Management, drive continuous improvement through trend reporting, and set annual goals to meet supply chain metric targets. Comply with corporate security policies and share best practices throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
- In depth knowledge of assigned commodity(s) both technical and commercial
- Contract management and negotiations (Purchase Agreement, Inventory management initiatives etc...)
- Basic finance (understand and evaluate a Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow statement)
- Understanding of MRP
- Know the supply base management teams of assigned commodity(s)
- Cost to manufacture commodity(s) assigned
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software
- Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to read and understand visual aid
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
