Job Summary
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities to ensure a reliable, cost-effective supply base. Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance management through demand forecasting and business reviews. Drive cost reduction, risk mitigation, and supply continuity initiatives while partnering with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Planning to support new product introductions. Manage RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, monitor market trends, and resolve material shortages through cross-functional collaboration. Forj Medical works with over 100 medical device companies to bring life-enhancing technologies to market. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of strategic sourcing experience, with a preference for medical device or contract manufacturing backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, and commodity management experience
- 3+ years of experience in the commodity they will manage
- Experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing supplier performance
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, or MBA
- Medical device or contract manufacturing experience
- Strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
- Strong negotiation, financial, and analytical skills
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
