Job Summary
Investigate discrepancies in receiving and shipping orders, timely resolving invoicing issues to ensure proper payment based on payment terms. Process purchase orders with distributors to meet production and inventory requirements while tracking commodity inventory levels to maintain optimal stock and prevent shortages or excess. Monitor and report on lead times, delivery schedules, and order status. Evaluate supplier quotes, bids, and proposals to identify cost savings opportunities and assist members of the purchasing team to align sourcing strategies with business needs. Collaborate with vendors to support Tool Room inventory control practices and ensure the timely availability, accuracy, quality, and cost-effectiveness of tools, tooling components, consumables, and related materials. Provide administrative and analytical support for commodity-related projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or an associate degree with equivalent years of relevant experience
- Mid-level knowledge of Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced functions
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow through
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
